the fellowship of the donkey yatra on its way through the cevennes in south of france

the sound of the wandering wind touching the top of the trees up there on the plateau of mount caroux and the fragrance the breeze brings.
it speaks of abundance, of wild herbs, heated donkey bodies, fresh mountain streams, cold wet stones in deep river pools, and flowers, hundreds of different textures, thorny, tiny and fragile sparkles of a flowering nature in the beginning of a hot summer.
flowing grass waves in the wind, i am passionate about grass now, seeing the donkeys always going for it, eating it with this so special sound it makes when their teeth chew the grass. all this different kinds of grass, all this different intensities and shades of green...
it is an adventure, a teaching and a whole hearted love story for me to be in the presence of these gentle, friendly and powerful donkeys. and to be in this wilderness, drinking fresh icy water from mountain streams and springs, smelling thyme, camomille and wild oregano, breathing into the huge spaciousness of the sky on the plateau, and then descending into valleys, crossing streams, walking through magical forests, taking nature in and in, waking up into simplicity and just being - like a tree, i am also just grown here on this earth, belonging to this world - just like a tree.

all this touched me deeply and made me melting into all of it, opened me, refreshed me, made me laugh and love and filled beyond the boundaries of my self with such a gratitude to this amazing wild life.
now i feel i can jump into this unknown life fully, without holding back and without forcing. like gemma said: if the biggest risk is going to die - so what? thats nothing!
